A number of abstracts not considered suitable for full Oral (20 minute) presentation were selected as Rapid Communications (5 minute presentation with maximum 3 slides).
There was a conference dinner (Scandinavian Buffet) on Saturday
evening, August 26 in the Hotel Scandic.
The Protein & Peptide Sciences Group of the Royal Society of Chemistry is sponsored the Poster Prizes at IMAP 2017. The Poster Competition was open to all student and post-doc poster authors.
Pramod K. Jangir of the Biological Research Centre, Hungarian Academy of Sciences received the € 100 first prize for his poster ' From Drug Action to Bacterial Reaction: A Chemical-Genomic Profile Clusters Antimicrobial Peptides on the Basis of their Mode of Actions.'
Runner-up prizes of € 50 each were awarded to:
Marherita Degasperi of the University of
Trieste for her poster '
Optimization of the peptide D-BMAP18 for the in vivo treatment of CF pulmonary infections.
Andrea Volejnikova of the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry of the Czech Academy of Sciences for his poster 'Antimicrobial peptides loaded into bone cement prevent bacterial biofilm formation on its surface.'
