Continuing a Successful Series

IMAP 2018 built on the success of the previous meetings held in Copenhagen, Denmark (IMAP 2017), Leipzig, Germany (IMAP 2008, 2012 and 2016), London, UK (IMAP 2013 and 2015) and Graz, Austria (IMAP 2014).

Antimicrobial Peptides (AMPs) and Host Defence Peptides (HDPs)

The 8th International Meeting on Antimicrobial Peptides (IMAP 2018) took place over 2 1/2 days in Edinburgh, UK in September 2018.

IMAP 2018 covered both the antimicrobial activity of peptides as well as their role in regulation and modulation of the immune system.

This was the biggest IMAP so far, with over 130 delegates and speakers.

Scientific Programme

  • Design, synthesis and mode of action of AMPs / HDPs, including:
    • Immunomodulatory aspects
    • Biophysical aspects
  • Human and veterinary therapeutic applications of AMPs / HDPs
  • Role of AMPs / HDPs in fertility and reproduction
  • AMPs / HDPs in immune modulation and Alzheimer’s disease

  • Peptide biomaterials, peptide-polymer hybrids
  • Susceptibility testing of AMPs

The Programme is now available on the Programme & Abstracts page.
